Effective date: May 15, 2026 · Last updated: June 6, 2026
1. Overview
Luna Peak Software ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that data when you use our website, products, and customer portal.
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account and purchase information: When you activate an account or make a purchase, we collect your name, email address, and purchase history. We do not collect physical mailing addresses unless required for tax documentation.
Payment information: All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive payment credentials on our systems. Stripe acts as a data processor and handles payment data under their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance program. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
License and hardware data: To enforce software licensing, we collect a hardware fingerprint (a non-personally-identifiable hash of your machine configuration) when you activate a license. This is used solely for license binding and reset eligibility. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
Support communications: When you contact support, we retain the content of your messages, including any attachments you upload, to assist you and improve our services.
Usage and technical data: We may collect basic technical information (browser type, operating system, IP address, referrer URL) for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement purposes.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use a limited number of cookies and local storage values for functional and referral tracking purposes:
- Referral tracking cookie (
lp_affiliate): If you arrive at our site through an affiliate referral link, we set a cookie to attribute your potential purchase to the referring partner. This cookie contains only an affiliate code, with no personally identifiable information. It expires according to the affiliate program terms (typically 30–90 days). You can clear this cookie at any time through your browser settings. - Session and authentication cookies: Used to maintain your logged-in state in the customer portal. These are essential for portal functionality and expire when you log out or your session ends.
- Consent state: We store your cookie consent dismissal in browser local storage to avoid showing the notice repeatedly.
We do not use advertising tracking pixels, behavioral retargeting cookies, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior across other websites.
4. How We Use Your Information

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services to you. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except for data we are required to retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for transaction records).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
New Jersey residents: Luna Peak Software operates from New Jersey and complies with the New Jersey SHIELD Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-161 et seq.).
